As the anticipated last month of the renovation project nears, the quantity of weekly updates is decreasing. However, progress is still occurring and can be viewed by carefully walking through “open” (non-cordoned) areas of the building. In addition, due to the inclement weather earlier this week, exterior work was delayed two days.
Despite delays though, renovations that occurred during the past week include:
Exterior
· DryVit (exterior stucco-like facing) has been applied to the stair/elevator tower and emergency exit from the youth room
· Waterproofing of the edges of the stair/elevator tower and youth room emergency exist roofs has occurred
· The water pipe trench extending from Rathton Road, through the parking lot entrance, to the portico area has been backfilled and patched.
Narthex – air conditioning has been upgraded and is now operational
Stair/Elevator Tower – drywall and studs have been installed in sections of this area
The church office and other staff offices have been relocated to accommodate current renovations, and can be accessed through the doors by Pastor Tim’s office. Office space is being reconfigured to facilitate Mike Carletti’s arrival on staff. Thanks for your patience during this stage of renovations!
