Sunday morning Worship

While LIFE Groups offer the opportunity for believers to engage God in His radical nearness and intimacy, the Celebration Service at York Alliance Church allow the body of Christ to corporate encounter God in His amazing splendor and majesty. During the Sunday morning gathering, worshipers come together in one place to exalt Jesus. All are encouraged to "bring an offering and come before Him" (I Chronicles 16:29). There are few acts of worship more pleasing to God than having a heart that is glad and eager to be in God's presence (Psalm 27:4; 122:1)

There is a wide variety of opportunities in which believers at YAC can participate and minister to one another for the joy of worshiping and living together in community. At York Alliance Church, the title "Levite" has been used to identify those who assist in the preparation and leadership of our corporate worship gatherings. In Old Testament times, people from the tribe of Levi were set apart to assist the priests in the Tabernacle and Temple worship offerings. The timeless and relevant principles of Old Testament Levite worship and worship leadership provide a model for YAC greeters, ushers, singers, instrumentalists, tech support, artists and other platform leaders are they seek to draw worship service attendees into life-changing encounters with the person of Jesus Christ.
