Breakout Speakers

I’m grateful to have grown up in a Christian family deeply involved in missions across Africa. At age 8, I realized faith had to be personal and gave my life to God. At 21, I committed to serving Him anywhere in the world. I met David in college, and we married in 1986. We’re thankful for our three children, two sons-in-law, and seven grandchildren, and for the joy of serving together in Russia and Macedonia.
Breakout: ANA and YAC: Two Decades and Counting! (Room 11)
Come and hear some stories of what God has done in ANA's first 20 years! Be encouraged and get in on the vision and plans that are developing as ANA moves ahead into the future. Find out how David’s NGO and ANA work together!

Nathan & Laura have spent nearly a decade serving communities across Asia, with experience in both Taiwan and Indonesia. In 2023, they founded Jiwa International, a faith-based nonprofit committed to addressing the felt needs of migrant workers. Currently working in Taiwan, they integrate nonprofit initiatives with for-profit business strategies to support the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of Indonesian migrant laborers.
Breakout: Marketplace Solutions: How Business as Mission Meets Felt Needs and Builds Trust (Room 7)
Explore how faith-driven entrepreneurs can use practical, scalable, and sustainable business approaches to address the felt needs of communities. This session will show how meeting those felt needs builds trust, opens doors for relationship, and creates natural pathways for Kingdom impact.

Breakout: Partnering with Multicultural Teams (Room 23)

Breakout: The Strange and Mysterious World of TCKs (Room 30)
This seminar lays a foundation for understanding who TCKs are, what their unique lived experiences mean for their overall flourishing, and how that relates to the long term effectiveness of their IW parents on mission.
-
Josh and Rachel were sent to the field 11 years ago from the Eastern PA District with their son William. Their girls Abi and Eva were born in the Middle East. For the past two years they have been serving as CAMA regional leaders in Europe and the Middle East. This summer they will move to Kyiv Ukraine.

Jeff and Kate are the Field Director couple for the Holy Land Field of the C&MA, a role they have served in since 2020. In this role, they oversee multicultural teams that serve multiple people groups and creatively seek to expand gospel access through a range of projects. They are graduates of Ohio State University and Alliance Theological Seminary. Jeff holds a PhD in Theology & Philosophy of Religion from VU Amsterdam.
Breakout: Why Some Hard Places Remain Unreached (Room 21)
This presentation explores some of the features of the Holy Land that make it a difficult place to reach and connects these features to boarder trends in mission.
-
Originally from Ohio, Brian and Jessie have been living and serving in North Africa for the past eight years with their three wonderful kids. They share a passion for developing people and are launching a co-working space to serve as a bridge for developing relationships that lead to Kingdom growth.
Breakout: Presence Over Programs: Rethinking Missions in Restricted Contexts
When traditional models aren’t possible, missions becomes about presence—living faithfully, working with integrity, and sharing Christ naturally. This session explores how embodying the gospel in everyday life offers a holistic, intentional witness that reshapes perceptions of missions in creative access countries.
-
Most recently David served as the interim executive director of a non-profit mission organization based in northern Thailand. The ministry is equipped to evangelize through meeting human need among the overlooked, underserved and marginalized ethnic groups in the region of the Golden Triangle regions of Laos, Myanmar and Thailand.
David and Ty King served from 2009-2021 as part of the pastoral team of the Evangelical Church of Bangkok. David served as lead pastor and Ty served in the areas of Intercessory Prayer ministry, Biblical Education, Life Groups and as a Deacon overseeing aesthetics, hospitality and worship events. This international fellowship had around 1300 congregants from 60 nations.
Breakout: Mission in Reverse (Student Center – lower parking lot)
“International churches are uniquely positioned for ‘reverse mission’—the nations come to them. Located in global cities, these churches reach the global diaspora: expatriates, international workers, students, military personnel, business professionals, and even missionaries seeking worship in their own language. What happens in these diverse communities is remarkable. Join this session to explore how this global movement may reshape your own sense of mission.”
-
Ross and Elaine felt called to full-time ministry after several short-term mission trips and went on to serve as second-career international workers in West Africa. For ten years, they taught English at an Alliance ministry center, built meaningful relationships, shared the gospel with Muslims, and supported the national church through discipleship and Discovery Bible Study. After long careers as public-school educators in Pennsylvania, they remain passionate about missions, disciple-making, and “refirement.”
Breakout: Second Career Kingdom Possibilities – What About You? (Room 6)
Join us for conversations about openness to Kingdom opportunities in your circle of influence and beyond, Second Career Kingdom work, and taking faith filled risks.
-
Daniel Shayesteh, a former Iranian politician and academic, publicly criticized Ayatollah Khomeini for breaking promises made before the 1979 revolution. As a result, he was imprisoned and faced execution. After securing a temporary release through government contacts, he escaped to Turkey. While pursuing doctoral studies in Istanbul, Daniel encountered the depth of the Christian faith—a turning point that transformed his worldview and led him to surrender his life to Jesus Christ.
Daniel is fully devoted to a global apologetic and evangelistic ministry, proclaiming Christ and engaging diverse audiences around the world.
Breakout: Unrivalled in Bridging Divisions (Room 22)
Daniel will address through comparative and reasoned analysis why Christ stands uniquely and incomparably as the only true bridge across the divisions of our world. He will also explore how His followers can prepare themselves to pose life-giving, discerning questions, and ultimately guide people toward Him.
