2026 Prayer Guide
WHO
Recognize who God is. Acknowledge His power and ability. Consider the Omnis: He is all-knowing, all-powerful, and he’s able to be everywhere all at once.
WHY
Recognize our need for Him - that we don’t know everything, that we can’t control the world around us, and that we only see from one perspective.
Expand each element of the PRAY acronym…
-
Take time to simply sit in silence before God
-
Praise God for who He is, particularly His goodness and faithfulness
-
Bring your request to God, recognizing that He knows you already
-
Submit yourself to God knowing that He is good regardless of the situation
“Let the favor of
the Lord our God be upon us and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands!"
The 2026 York Alliance Family of Churches Prayer Guide is a way that we can, together, approach the throne of grace in the power of the Spirit at work in us. These prayers, taken directly from the Scriptures, give us short but effective ways to pray into the three themes that we sense God has placed before us for this year.
Many thanks to Ty King for developing these prayers!
